There are many types of stocks and ways to make money from them. At the top of the food chain are the professional traders who make millions for their employers all the way down to the amateur trader who spends an hour a day looking for small opportunities to add a percentage point or two to his trading pot of money. There are also huge numbers of different types of stocks from those under $1 in price called penny trades up to trading currencies and large corporation stocks.
